Natal is "top market" for property investment |

Those considering buying property in Brazil may be interested to know that the north-eastern city of Natal has been tipped as a "top market" for property investment this week.
Deanne DuKhan, portfolio strategist for Experience International, told NuWire Investor: "Our research has pointed to [Natal] as potentially one of the top performing markets for direct property investment in 2008.
"The market [in Natal has been] driven by both domestic and foreign demand, a combination [that] is likely to ensure a constant stream of income from capital inflows."
She added that a major international airport is planned for Natal that is expected to be the largest airport in Latin America and one of the seven largest in the world.
Once this airport is operational, DuKahn expects a "dramatic rise" in tourist numbers to the region.
Earlier this month, independent property expert Amberlamb tipped Brazil as a highly-profitably property investment location.
Amberlamb said that recent economic indicators and financial opinion have shown that the Brazilian economy is holding its own against the US economic downturn, making it a good place to invest.

Greater plans for a new Natal based airport which will be South America’s largest, have been given the go ahead and should see completion in 2010, making Natal the first port of call for commercial, recreational or any visitors coming into Brazil. With figures that report 96% of the regions visitors intending to make a second visit already, the future of Natal and its Brazilian counterpart’s looks very bright indeed, as does the economy. The fishing village of Maracajau, due to its environmental conscience should retain a population figure close to the current 2500 it currently boasts. With residential demand easily outweighing the actual availability of property, the direct result should simply be high, sustainable appreciation and value.
An amazing combination of natural inherent beauty and an equally serene climate and ambience is what’s on offer here, leaving little mystery behind its escalating attraction. And there’s more appeal still in the government planned proposals that include amongst other things the introduction of 10 new golf courses over the next 5 years!
Natal is blessed with an abundance of sun baked beaches that often draw a large Brazilian crowd of holiday makers, reflecting the true splendour of a region capable of alluring its own notably hospitable native folk. |

Beckham set to boost Natal property market |

Football legend David Beckham is to open the first ‘David Beckham World of Sport’ complex in Natal, Brazil, to coincide with the nation’s hosting of the 2014 World Cup. Part of a wider resort boasting a Rubens Barrichello motor racing school as well as academies for golf, polo and tennis, this north easterly region of Brazil will become world-famous, but with luxury properties still available for under £60,000 there has never been a better time to invest.
Beckham, who has already set up professional sports academies both in London and at his current base with MLS side LA Galaxy, was in Brazil for the announcement this week and said in a statement to the press, “I am honoured to be associated with this incredible project which will build world-class sporting facilities in Brazil, hopefully having a major impact at a local level and internationally”. Beckham hopes to give opportunities to gifted but disadvantaged children, rather than teaching them how to play the game, for this is a country that simply doesn’t need teaching fancy footwork.
